So here is how the credit crunch actually impacts businesses at the "local-level".
Article from the Contra Costa Times 6/17/09 edition: "Twists and Turns" describes the plight of several local East Bay Auto Dealerships.
One of them "Groth Bros", has purchased land in Livermore California for their new dealership. However, with the "bad economy, Groth has found it tough to land a construction loan...We are going to have to sit tight until the economy comes back and can get a construction loan..."
The new dealership was a furniture project we initially pursued about 6 months ago, only to have it "stall" because of the reasons stated above. The domino effect of credit lock-down cascades all the way "to the bottom..."
