Bay Area is #2 "Green Region" in the Country

According to the recently released "Green City Index", the San Francisco / Oakland / Fremont area is the 2nd greenest region in the country. The Index rated 41 MSAs (Metropolitan Statistical Areas) on 20 indicators of "greeness" including: Travel Time, Sprawl Index, Green Jobs per capita.

The top 5 regions were:

1. Portland/Vancouver/Beaverton OR-WA
2. San Francisco / Oakland / Fremont
3. Honolulu HI
4. Austin / Round Rock TX
5. Boston / Cambridge / Quincy MA
